You can suppress or hide modifier groups on specific station types.
This means that on your Bar Station Type you can ring in menu items without seeing a modifier screen, but on the Server Station Type it will display to allow the server to modify the item.
For this example, you do not need modifiers to show up on the Bar Station Type when ringing in a drink because the Bartender already knows what to mix with the whiskey.
For your Server Station Type you would want to always show the modifiers, so you check the Always Force Show Modifiers box in the Station Types Settings. This means that the Server would be able to ring in the whiskey and choose a modifier to add a mixer or make it a cocktail. For the Bar Station Type you would NOT want to show the modifiers, so you DO NOT check the Always Force Show Modifiers box in the Station Types Settings. This means that the Bartender does not need to ring in the mixer or cocktail modification because that person is the one also making the drink.
Menu Item Settings
1. From the main BOH menu screen, select Menu Items
2. Select all the menu items that you do not need modifiers to display on at certain station types, e.g., all the liquors for the Bar station type
3. In the General Information section, tick the Do Not Force Show Modifiers checkbox
Station Type Settings
